Universal towbar:
The advantage of this kind of trailer coupler is that it doesn't need to change the rear anti-collision beam of the vehicle. If it is installed on the vehicle with load-bearing body (family car or part of SUV), it only needs to slightly reinforce the original anti-collision beam and weld the trailer coupler to the anti-collision beam. Of course, this method of strengthening the anti-collision beam also has some defects: the reason is that the original anti-collision beam of the load-bearing body itself does not have the conditions to install the trailer hook and drag the goods, the trailer hook falls off greatly, and the risk is high.

Plug and play towbar:
The advantage is that there is no need to refit the circuit for some vehicles, but only some special models can install this kind of trailer coupler (some vehicles have their own reserved opening for the trailer coupler). If we choose to buy this kind of trailer coupler, we need to confirm our own vehicles to see if there are reserved openings. This kind of tow hook can only be applied to a part of parallel import vehicles with trailer square mouth. This kind of ready-to-use tow hook can be removed at any time when it is not in use, which is very convenient.

After solving the problem of trailer hook, the next step is to connect the RV and trailer. Generally, we choose tow connection method, which is mainly divided into tow connection arm and fifth wheel tow.
Towing connecting arm:
The trailer connecting arm is the most common connector on the trailer. It has two kinds of connectors with wheels as shown in the figure or supported by jacks. The way is the same. It only needs to connect the tow hook ball and the trailer connecting arm at the end of the car.

Fifth round towing:

13 pin harness:
It is commonly used in European trailer, and many European imported vehicles will have this 13 pin harness interface. The requirements of vehicle lighting in China are similar to those in Europe, so we will feel more convenient when using 13 pin harness. The interface of 13 pin wiring harness includes brake light, left and right turn signal, driving light, reversing light, fog light, long live wire, ground wire, etc. it is worth noting that although there is brake light in the wiring harness, there is no brake. Because most European Trailer use impact braking, so there is no need to connect the brake line.
7-pin harness:
The seven wire harness are brake light, driving light, left and right steering, long live wire, ground wire and spare wire. Nowadays, some domestic pickup trucks are also pre installed with this kind of interface. However, more vehicles do not have these interfaces and need additional wiring. In general, the scheme of wiring from the rear tail lamp is adopted. In this scheme, attention should be paid to the bearing capacity of the original vehicle wires and the safety of construction.
Precautions after installation
When towing a trailer, the most important two points are the basic knowledge and the ability to adjust the driving. In other words, when towing a trailer on the road, all actions should be carried out at half the speed when there is no Trailer.
